Simon lives in London and has worked in digital marketing for the past 5 years. In recent months he was inspired to work more independently and focus on information marketing. He became familiar with Pinterest in its early stages and knew there would soon be a demand for an informative e-book on Pinterest’s intricacies and how-tos.  The Pinterest Uncovered E-book is his first digital information product that he developed, marketed, and launched. Well done!

  1. Laura Howard says:

Pinterest just showed up on my radar this week. It’s a fun site, but it can be a time drain if you’re not careful. I’m grateful for the tips to make my time there worthwhile.

  2. Sheyi says:

Hey Trent, how soon is the transcript coming?

    Sheyi

  3. Greg says:

    Amazing podcast! **Please use responsibly!**

  4. Thanks Greg! Glad you liked it! And yes Laura – it can suck up your time if you let it! But if you can control yourself, you can achieve a lot in quite a short time.

    • Greg says:

Simon – I have SEOquake plugin for Chrome. This plugin has a ‘Highlight no-follow’ feature. It seems that links in my descriptions are showing up as no-follow when using this plugin.

Is this the plugin or am I doing something wrong?
Also, would you recommend using shortened links over full URLs?

(Also just checked and SEO for firefox is detecting the same!)

      • Hi Greg, ah yes it looks like you are right. This must have been a recent change. Pins that pre-date the change have not been downgraded to no-follow – so I didn’t notice in my checking. This is a shame of course, but not unexpected. Facebook & Twitter both started with do-follows and eventually changed to no-follows. Looks like your profile website link is still do-follow. There is still plenty of other great things on offer from Pinterest though!

  5. Mary C says:

Hi Trent – thanks for the info on Pinterest. I was wondering
if you do transcripts for your podcasts. Sometimes there isn’t
enough time to listen to podcast but transcripts can be read
anywhere or where time is available.

I do wonder, however, whether spending so much time on the “social
networks” is feasible for a good many IMers. I outsource some
stuff, but not everything is doable for me.

    Best regards,

  6. I think this was the episode I listened to yesterday when you were talking about where and how to find creative commons pictures in Flickr. I was pointed to a great resource (by another blogger) that makes this really easy. Check out this link, as it is the ONLY way I search for creative commons Flickr pictures… http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/flickrCC/index.php

Aside from that, I may now actually give a look into Pinterest as a result of listening to this episode. I had no idea there was SEO value there! Thanks as always for another awesome podcast.

    • Hey Matthew,

You’re very welcome. Thanks for the feedback. As a side note; I have a Pinterest plugin in development now that will help you save a bunch of time. Keep an eye on your inbox…

      Trent
