When Penguin was released back in April, I decided to exit the micro-niche site business and since then, I have been focused on developing an authority site that will serve as the hub of what I believe will be my next 6 (or maybe even 7) figure business.

This new business is one that anyone with enough desire can do. You don’t have to be an expert writer, nor do you have to build artificial links and rely on Google for traffic.

In fact, with this particular model, there is a brilliantly simple strategies for getting boatloads of free traffic. But more on that later.

In the weeks ahead, I’m planning to open the curtain to my new business because it’s one that I really believe in, PLUS, it’s one that I think many of my readers could also replicate in a wide variety of niches.

I’ve already built a company that did over $7,000,000 sales, and I’m operating with the belief that I can make this new business just as successful.

I’m also operating with the belief that I can help you to do the same.

For now, I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at what I’ve been up to, so just click the logo below. When you do, you will be taken to an opt-in page. You will need to opt in to get my software to send you a password for the site. (yes, passwords are free but you need to go through the opt in form to have one generated for you)

Once you get into the free members area, you are going to see several interviews where I get some very talented folks to share their best secrets to success.

Right now there are four interviews.

They include:

  • an interview with Jaime who shares how she got her blog featured on CNN and the home page of Yahoo
  • an interview with Travis who shares how he made his first product launch a six-figure success
  • an interview with Mel who shares the 7 biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make (plus he’s kindly offered 10 free scholarship tickets to his event this weekend in San Diego)
  • an interview with Dane who shares how he built a $40K a month software business that runs without his help (so he can travel and mentor other entrepreneurs)

As if that isn’t enough…I have more interviews set to be released in the days ahead. They include:

  • an interview with the CEO of a brand new fitness company that is absolutely crushing its competition, thanks to its use of some very smart online marketing
  • an interview with a guy who got 50,000 visitors to his blog in his first 30 days online
  • an interview with a guy who has created over 100 successful information products and has generated millions in the process

    Thanks.

So that’s what you’ve been working on. Looks great cant wait.

Btw can you share what program you used to send password from optin?

  4. hamza raja says:

You are most welcome. Well Trent, I just wanted to give you my opinion about pricing structure for brightideas.com. I believe its 97$ per month subsciption, right? The thing is that you should also include an affiliate program, with affiliate payment anywhere from 10-25$ per new subscriber (just per subscriber, not from each month’s subsciption). This way, you will be encouraging your current subsribers to promote your site for you. Now the big thing here is, that as your program is all about entrepreneurship, so all your subscribers are to entrepreneurs of different levels, and hence many will have their own blogs or something (like mailing and so on). So the point is, you should encourage them, through your affiliate program to share brightideas.com on their own blogs. That way, you will keep getting more and more subscibers and it will be a repetitive cycle, because bloggers always to promote stuff that is not only good for their audience, but also for their pockets (means more earnings for them). If you think about it for longterm, it is definately worth creating an affiliate program.
Let me know of your thoughts about it :-)

    Have a great day!

    • Hey Hamza,

I do have an affiliate program for BrightIdeas and I will definitely be telling people about it. Thanks for the excellent suggestion on pricing and payments :)

You are most welcome Trent. By the way, I just noticed your respond rightnow because I was not informed of follow-up comments (although I selected the check box). I dont know why that happend though (maybe some script went wrong?).

  5. hamza raja says:

I thought it was .com, just figured out now that its .co lol..

  6. Peter Mutiso says:

Congrats man. The video is awesome

  7. Really looking forward to seeing this once it launches. I really appreciate the way you interview people on your podcast (i.e. asking the tough questions) so it goes without saying that this will be quite natural for you. Hurry up and launch it already! :)

    • Hey Travis,

I actually had it launched (briefly) already and have 15 interviews in the can. The reason I un-launched it was that I had a talk with Mike Stelzner from Social Media Examiner and he gave me some advice on how I was going to monetize the site that was different that my original plan. Implementing his advice meant that I had to edit every interview (to remove the plug for my premium membership) and so at the same time, I also decided to hire a designer to build me a completely custom theme and landing page. All will be revealed soon :)

  8. Anshul says:

Good stuff Trent. Does beg the question, are you completely out of the niche site business then?

    • Yes, I think the micro-niche site business (assuming you are trying to get traffic from Google search) is d-e-a-d. I think you can still build a niche site, but if you think you can use low quality content and paid backlinks to get it ranked, you are in for a surprise :)
